Writing on Contemporary Balinese Art – lecture at Pepperdine’s Weisman Museum

Ellen C. Caldwell, adjunct professor of art history and Seaver web producer, earned a 2014 Department of Cultural Affairs grant to travel to Bali and complete an arts writing residency. There, she interviewed over 15 artists and has spent the rest of the year writing about their work, their processes, and her experiences. Please join us to learn about the artists’ work in Bali and Caldwell’s creative process when she returned home.

Caldwell is a featured contributor to New American Paintings, Artsy Forager, and more. Her passion lies in the moments when multiple interests overlap—art & technologytechnology & educationeducation & identityidentity & writingwriting & the creative process, and so on. You can read her posts and publications about Bali on her website.
